Memorial Weekend Events

This year we want to involve our community as much as possible in the weeks leading up to, during, and after the parade. We have created some fun ways to get involved in our Memorial Day Events.

2023 Memorial Weekend Parade

Join us in a parade across town to honor those that have served, especially those that have fallen. All are welcome to participate get more information and link to sign up below.

Windows of Heores - Nominate a Hero

Do you have a hero that's special to you? Do you want to show your recognition with a star in a local businesses window? We want to honor all those we can this year so nominate a veteran or active duty military and we will display the stars of our town proudly. Have a special story about your hero? We may choose to showcase some extra special heroes with short videos or photos online. Get more info about nominating a hero including the entry form and links to all our heroes below

Memorial Show & Shine

We are pleased to announce the Second Annual Memorial Show & Shine at Hahn Park from 1pm-4pm. All car clubs and other vehicles are welcome to attend no sign-up or entry fees required. We have plenty of parking available and look forward to seeing you there! There's no better place for this event the where the parade ends. After the parade comes to an end we will hold a Memorial Ceremony with the reading of the names at 3pm we encourage all show and shine participants to stay for this ceremony and show your respects for the fallen. After the Show & Shine head on uptown to participate in the other events of the day, Meet, Greet, & Honor at Pacific Auditorium at 4pm, Veteran's Dinner at the First Presbyterian Church from 5pm-6pm, and then back to Pacific Auditorium for a patriotic concert at 6pm. 

War Memorial Ceremony

Please join us after the parade at Hahn Memorial Park for our Memorial Ceremony.  Starting at 3pm we will do a brief ceremony including the reading of the names of our local service members who have fallen in the line of duty. 

Meet, Greet, & Honor

Starting at 4pm at Pacific Auditorium we will be hosting a Meet, Greet, & Honor social mixer to allow community members to shake hands and thank a Vet in person. We will have a small gift for all Vets and Current Servicemembers in attendance. 

Veteran's Dinner

The First Presbyterian church is hosting a free spaghetti feed for all local vets and their families from 5pm-6pm. We invite all local vets and their families to this free dinner.

Patriotic Concert

Strange Brew Band will be performing a FREE patriotic concert at Pacific Auditorium starting at 7pm. Join us for fun and local tunes!

Cemetery Service

A graveside cemetery service will be held Monday May 30, 2022 at 10am to honor all those service members laid to rest at the Reedsport Cemetery. Please join us to pay respects.
